The Lodge, Bowcombe Estate

Completed in 2010, this project takes a large collection of redundant & derelict farm buildings and replaces them with an enlarged shooting lodge, restoring an original stone barn, integrating and adapting stone cottages to the Southside and building a new North wing and lounge to create a central courtyard as a focus for the development.

Overall, the main aim was to design a sympathetic but distinctive collection of farm buildings in the countryside, which enhances the Lodges location in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Rainey Petrie Architecture were appointed as Architects & Quantity Surveyors for this project from inception to completion. Rainey Petrie also worked closely with Christopher Scott who were appointed as Land Agents liaising with the Parish Council and the AONB during the Planning Process.
